Book “In Memory of Kazakhstanis fallen in Germany and Austria in Great Patriotic War” presented in Kazakh MFA

On the threshold of the 65th anniversary of the Great Victory a book In Memory of Kazakhstanis fallen in Germany and Austria in the Great Patriotic War has been presented in the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs on May 6.
The Kazakh Embassy in Germany jointly with the Documentation Center of the Saxon Memorials to the Victims of Political Terror held an enormous work on search of materials, on which the book is based, the MFA’s press service notes.
This book contains information about more than 6,200 Kazakhstanis dead in torture chambers of concentration camps on the territory of Germany in the years of the Great Patriotic War.
The Kazakh Embassy in Austria in close cooperation with the Ludwig Boltzmann Institute for Research on War Consequences and the Austrian Black Cross prepared the Memory Book which contains information about burial places of 980 Kazakhstanis.
Veterans of war, representatives of veterans’ organizations, the Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, diplomatic corps and mass media took part in the presentation.
