Kazakh pianist Amir Tebenikhin to give commemoration concert on May 9 in London

The Embassy of Kazakhstan in London informs of a concert of Amir Tebenikhin, a distinguished Kazakh pianist scheduled for 9 May, 2010. Amir Tebenikhin, who recently has been awarded an honour to participate in the most prestigious music festival in Europe, Ruhr Festival 2010 will present the same programme, including musical compositions by R. Schumann and F. Chopin, whose 200th anniversary we celebrate this year.
The concert commemorates the 65th Anniversary of the Victory Day. The concert is free of charge, but a voluntary donation is collected after the concert. This is the 4th Equipes de Sogdiana concert since 2008 which aims to support Central Asian musicians and students studying music in London.
The events is organized by Equipes de Sogdiana, Cambridge Central Asia Forum, Cambridge Kazakh Society, British-Kazakh Society under the support of the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the UK, Kazinform has learnt from the Embassy of Kazakhstan in the UK.
