Kazakhstan issues Jan-Feb production results

According to the data released by the Republic of Kazakhstan’s Agency of Statistics, in January-February this year the country registered a slight increase of 0.5 percent year on year in its crude steel production but a 12.8 percent year-on-year decrease in its production of flat rolled steel, to 563,468 mt and 405,122 mt respectively. Meanwhile, the country’s tinplate production amounted to 28,755 mt – up 39.2 percent, and its galvanized steel output amounted to 83,141 mt – up 11 percent, both compared to January-February 2009.
In the first two months of this year, Kazakhstan’s output of ferroalloys increased by about 68.8 percent year on year to 280,274 mt, its iron ore production increased by 170.4 percent to about 7.6 million mt, while its iron ore pellets production went up by 212.6 percent to 1.41 million mt, all compared to the same period last year.

Kazakhstan produces 566047 tonnes of crude steel in 2 months

Interfax quoted the State Statistics Agency said Kazakhstan produced 566,047 tonnes of crude steel in January to February as much as in the same period of last year.
According to the report, output of flat steel products fell 12.8%YoY to 405,122 tonnes overall, including 28,755 tonnes of tin plate and tin-plated sheet, a 40.3% increase, and 83,141 tonnes of galvanized steel up by 11%.
Ferroalloy production jumped 68.8% fold to 280,274 tonnes.
Crude iron ore production rose 30.9%YoY to 7.599 million tonnes, manganese ore production fell, by 11.7% to 393,100 tonnes, and chrome ore grew by 37.9% to 788,300 tonnes.
Kazakhstan boosted iron ore pellet production 113%YoY in January to February to 1.412 million.

Kazakhstan increases oil and condensate exports up by 17pct YoY

Interfax quoted the state statistics agency said Kazakhstan exported 5.204 million tonnes of oil and gas condensate in January up by 16.7%YoY.
Those exports brought the country USD 2.756 billion or twice what it received last January.
Natural gas exports came to 1.681 billion cubic meters and brought USD 105.6 million. Natural gas imports came to 453.5 million cubic meters for USD 33.4 million.
Kazakhstan exported 407,600 tonnes of oil products in January for USD 142.1. Oil product imports were 126,300 tonnes for USD 66.2 million.
