Head of Samruk-Kazyna to step down- source

Umirzak Shukeyev, chairman of Samruk-Kazyna is going to step down, said an informed source in Astana.

“Umirzak Yestayevich (Shukeyev-KazTAG) is leaving his post in Samruk-Kazyna. His new work place is not known yet. Most likely he will return to the Governmental structures,” said a source on the phone.

In different years U. Shukeyev was a consultant of the High Economic Council under the President of Kazakhstan, economic advisor of the President, Minister of Economy, akim of Kostanay region. He also worked as a First Deputy Prime Minister.

Since 2011 he worked as a chairman and member of board of Samruk-Kazyna Sovereign Welfare Fund.
