Kazakhstan and USA hold annual bilateral consultations in Washington DC

Kazakhstan and the United States of America are holding annual bilateral consultations in Washington DC on March 8-9.

Kazakh MFA’s official representative Askar Abdrakhmanov has informed of it at the briefing in Astana.

The Kazakh delegation, which consists of representatives of different state bodies, is headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Kairat Umarov, the American – U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Robert Blake.

According to the Kazakh MFA’s official representative, such topical issues on strategic partnership beween Kazakhstan and the USA like preparation for the Nuclear Security Summit in Washington DC and OSCE Summit, military-political stabilization and socio-economic rehabilitation of Afghanistan, prospects of interaction in the sphere of political and economic cooperation, international security and human dimension are on the agenda of the consultations.

“Within the framework of the event there will be held a number of meetings of the Kazakh delegation with representatives of business circles and NGOs of the USA”, A.Abdrakhmanov said.
