Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Bakytzhan Sagintayev has advised Paramjit Kahlon, head of ArcelorMittal CIS, to settle the problem of supply of metallurgic products to Karaganda businessmen.
“We have discussed the question of metallurgic combine – the businessmen in Karaganda say it is difficult to deliver and get the products in ArcelorMittal company which you produce. I want you to hear that, and I ask you to discuss the problem with the akimat of the region,” said B. Sagintayev to P. Kahlon during his working trip to Temirtau.
“Perhaps, the negotiations are going on a low level, probably, the managers create barriers. I don’t think they are doing it intentionally. I want you to settle this question and resolve the disputes,” he said.
The director general ArcelorMittal CIS said “he is ready for a constructive dialogue”. “We will try to resolve the problem,” he said.
“We ship our products to Russia and Ukraine, we ship coal. Talking about “small” and “big” suppliers, the work will be more intensive. We are going to increase our production. Today we do not sell our goods to South and Eastern Asia. We sell the products in Kazakhstan,” he said.
