Polymetal Gets ACCA Employer Status In Recognition Of “High Standards”

Polymetal on track for full year as gold sales grow

Polymetal International PLC said it has become an ACCA approved employer in “recognition of the company’s high standards for employee professional development, particularly in finance and accounting”.

The mid-cap miner said the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants has awarded the status to the company which enables Polymetal to “uphold leading industry practices” by benchmarking its training and development initiatives against ACCA’s best practices and standards.

“We are pleased to become one of the few companies in the sector to receive ACCA’s Approved Employer status, and believe that it will help us sustain, and further enhance our competitive advantage in the sector,” said Maxim Nazimok, chief executive of Polymetal.

Polymetal shares were down 1.2% on Friday at 910.85 pence.

Earlier this week, Polymetal said it remains on track to reach its 2017 gold equivalent production guidance as it reported quarterly gold production growth of 6%. Polymetal also reported a fatality at its Varvara facility in Kazakhstan due to a fire. It said guidelines and procedures are in place to prevent similar occurrences.
