Kazakhstan Outstripped France And The US In The Rating Of Danger For Travelers
136 countries were assessed on such indicators as violence and terrorism.
According to the rating of “danger” for travelers, compiled by the non-governmental foundation “World Economic Forum”, based in Switzerland, Kazakhstan was on the 58th place, ahead of France, the United Kingdom and the USA, Kazpravda.kz reports.
The list of countries is published in the Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2017 on liverpoolecho.co.uk.
The report assessed 136 countries in terms of indicators related to violence and terrorism, but the rating did not include Syria, Afghanistan and Iraq, since historically it includes large economies and only then developing ones.
Thus, Kazakhstan was on the 58th place in the list with a rating of 5.5 points (for comparison, France got to 67th, Britain – to 78th, and the USA – to 84th place).
The safest countries were Finland, the United Arab Emirates, Iceland, Oman and Hong Kong.
Among the most dangerous destinations for tourists were such destinations as Turkey (116th), Thailand (118th) and Egypt (130th).
