Dimash Kudaibergen Shared His Plans After His Birthday Concert
Dimash Kudaibergen have given an interview to Chinese journalists after his birthday party.
Reporter: What is your most frequently used Chinese words?
Dimash: “Yes yes yes” and “No no no no”. And of course the phrase “Greetings everyone, I am Dimash”.
Reporter: Who do you learn your Chinese from?
Dimash: My agent and translator.
Reporter: Your fans are all interested to know about the new album that is in preparation now, will there be any Chinese songs in the album?
Dimash: Definitely, and at least 50% of the songs in the new album will be Chinese songs.
Reporter: Your fans are also concerned about your plan to study abroad. Is this confirmed?
Dimash: Yes I had this intention in the past to further my studies abroad, but this plan will be postponed indefinitely. At this stage I have received great recognition and admiration from my fans, so I would like to put my energy to focus on my fans in order to continue gaining their support.
Reporter: Please share with us what you have been doing after “The Singer” competition, and what are your future intentions?
Dimash: I have many plans, mainly I will be focusing my energy on the new album.
Reporter: Can you give us a brief introduction on this new album?
Dimash: At this junction, our team do not have a clear plan on what type of songs will be in the album. As you all know, I just turn 23, my life experience including experience on stage is limited. I am currently working hard to select songs that I have previously composed to be included in the new album.
Reporter: Which of your good friends have attended your birthday concert tonight?
Dimash: I don’t wish to name names as I’m afraid of offending anyone. But I can conclusively say that everyone who has spared their precious time to attend my birthday concert this evening are my good friends.
Reporter: There is this very famous movie shown recently (can’t catch the name), have you watched it? Is your Father the same as the Father character in the movie?
Dimash: I regret that I have yet to watch this movie.
Reporter: Do your parents force you to practice music when you are young?
Dimash: I feel very fortunate, because being a singer we have to find our own producer. Before now, I have never signed any contract with anyone, because my parents assist me greatly in my music production. From now onwards, we will work closely with my agent- BG Talents and my good Friend Alpamys on production of my music.
Reporter: So your dad is the main guidance for your music?
Reporter: Your boss- Laura Shang attended your birthday concert today, do you feel nervous?
Dimash: All singers will be slightly nervous when performing in front of audience for fear of committing any mistakes. I do not feel nervous or have any fear because there are so many friends who recognise and love my work.
Reporter: Your fans have been very enthusiastic at the live show tonight, how do you feel?
Dimash: It’s very difficult to clearly express how I feel right now. As you can see, the plan for the concert is to sing only 3 songs, but I find it hard to control my emotions, therefore I added another song to sing with the fans on the spot.
Reporter: I understand that you joined the girls’ choir group when you were young, do you feel any embarrassment then? Did you start to realise your talent for singing then?
Dimash: it’s a good experience, I do not feel uncomfortable or embarrassed, instead I feel fortunate.
Reporter: Is it true that you join the girls’ choir group to flirt with them?
Dimash: Of course I was joking.
Reporter: I have chatted with a few of your fans from the live show and they shared with me that you are the first idol in their life, what would you like to express to your fans?
Dimash: All of you are also the first batch of fans in my life who will listen to my music with such great passion and admiration.
Reporter: Is that any future plans for your music?
Dimash: The Dimash you see in “The Singer” is just one version of me, moving forward I will present to you a new and more “all-rounded” Dimash, this is my promise to you. The Dimash you see now is just 40% of me. Perhaps one day when you come to see my concert, you will see the remaining 60%.”
