Turkmenistan Intends To Build A Motor Road To Kazakhstan Border

The state information agency TDH reports that at the session of Turkmenistan’s Cabinet of Ministers held on 5 May, the Deputy Prime Minister overseeing construction Dadebai Amangeldiev briefed President Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov on the plans to build a border-zone motorway Turkmenbashi-Garabogaz-Kazakhstan stretching for 242 kilometers.

According to TDH, the section of the road is scheduled to continue a high speed highway Ashgabat-Turkmenbashi, which will allow to increase the transport flow and boost the volume of trade between the neighbouring countries.

Let us recall that the plans to impose a fare for using some sections of motor roads in Turkmenistan have been previously announced.
