Kazakhstani Companies May Be Involved In Modernization Of 243 Km Of Railways In Turkmenistan
Kazakhstani companies will be able to take part in modernization of the railway Turkmenabad-Mary in Turkmenistan 243 km long, said the press-service of the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan.
The 9th session of Kazakhstani-Turkmenistan intergovernmental commission on economic, scientific-technical and cultural cooperation was held in Ashgabat on Wednesday.
The parties have achieved preliminary agreement on involvement of Kazakhstani companies in construction of the motorway Ashgabat- border of Afghanistan, modernization of the railway Turkmenabad-Mary 243 km long and modernization of rails-welding company in Farap and wagon-repair plant in Serdar.
The parties have discussed the project of space shuttles construction for Turkmenistan and training of specialists in the space field.
The foreign trade turnover between the states increased by 59% to $283.5 mln in 2016 year on year.
