Kazakhstan: Gas Deficit In Aktobe To Be Cancelled
Over the past 5 days, the region has experienced gas supply problems, despite the fact that the Ministry of Energy had allocated a quota in the required amount to the region. According to website Kazakhstan 2050, the regional authorities find out the reasons for this situation and take measures to prevent it in the future.
Deputy Governor of the region Zhanabai Beksary believes that the allocated area of the quota doesn’t fully cover the real need of the region.
“For the region the Ministry has a quota of 5 200 tons, which is distributed among 4 gas supply pipeline network (GSPN). At the same time, the need of the region for liquefied petroleum gas at the current moment is more than 7 thousand tons, including the population’s demand – 228 tons, motor vehicles – about 7 thousand tons. This is primarily due to the increase in the number of cars transferred to gas, which, compared with the same period in 2016, increased from 20 to 30 thousand units, that is by 54%. Besides that, indirectly, the situation was affected by the fact that the manufacturer of liquefied gas of JSC “CNPC-AMG”, according to the agreement between GSPN, requested a 100% advance payment. For this reason, the GSPN and gas stations have problems of timely redemption of their volumes”, – Zh. Beksary reported.
Also, the gas deficit in Aktobe was caused by the violation of the balance of GSPN in the distribution of gas among gas stations of the city and the resale of coupons by the last ones.
Governor of the region Berdybek Saparbayev had promised to take tough administrative measures against the perpetrators of this situation.
“We turned to the administration of manufacturing companies, which will allocate additional volumes of gas. In general, it is necessary to bring order to this area, to make normal calculations and to take all measures to prevent such problems from now on. Today all gas filling stations must start selling liquefied gas without restrictions”, – B. Saparbayev instructed.
