Airplane With National Football Team Of Kazakhstan Onboard Makes Emergency Landing In Armenia’s Yerevan
The airplane carrying the Kazakhstannational football team was forced to make an emergency landing at the Zvartnots International Airport in Yerevan, Armenia, right after the departure. Earlier, a media officer of the national football team of Kazakhstan, Erbol Kairov said in his Twitter account that the plane with the Kazakhstan national football team forcedly landed at the Yerevan’s airport, it departed from. The malfunction of the chassis caused this incident, according to the Kazinform News Agency, Kazakhstan.
“The departure of the charter flight with the football players onboard was carried out by Severstal Airlines was scheduled for 00:30 am on the time of Yerevan on March 27th. In fact, the plane flew out of the airport at 01:13 am.
During the flight, chassis failures were detected. For this reason, based on flight safety considerations, the plane returned to Zvartnots and landed there at 02:46 am local time.
The repeated flight is scheduled for 04:00 pm local time on March 27th, Satenik Hovhannisyan, Spokesperson of the Civil Aviation Department of Armenia, told Kazinform.
This agency also explained that in connection with the incident, the servicing airline sent another plane to Yerevan.
Upon arrival at the Yerevanairport, the football team returned to the hotel, where they are waiting for re-departure.
