Kazakhstan And Latvia Developing Transit And Transport Cooperation

Kazakhstan has made the first delivery of 720 tonnes of wheat to Vietnam via the new transportation corridor Kazakhstan – Lianyungang – Vietnam, the Kazakh Ministry of Foreign Affairs says in a Wednesday press release.

For the first time Kazakhstan delivered wheat via the new transport corridor Kazakhstan-Lianyungang-Vietnam, reports  the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The first party of Kazakhstani wheat arrived to the port of Ho Chi Ming for the Vietnamese market on March 4 2017,” reads the message.

“The main task is not only delivering this freight to Vietnam, but to test the delivery route to South-East Asia through the territory of China. This way Kazakhstan can not only export its goods, but deliver the goods of other member states of the Eurasian economic union to Vietnam and other states of South-East Asia,” the message reports.

According to the message Vietnam is likely to increase acquisition of Kazakhstani grain.

“The Vietnamese company which acquired this wheat (720 tons) is going to test the quality of our product and in case of positive results, it is going to increase the export volume of Kazakhstani product,” said the message.
