Air Astana Develops Aircraft Maintenance And Repair Market In Kazakhstan
In 2016, the airline provided technical maintenance service for more than 70 foreign and Kazakh airlines, the press service of Air Astana JSC reported.
With the development of the air transport market and transit flights through Kazakhstanfrom foreign airlines, there is a need to repair the aircraft. And in 2011, Air Astana, the only one at that time that was certified by the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to perform aircraft maintenance on Directive 145 requirements, began offering such services to European, Asian and Kazakh air carriers. Air Astana provides such services, as line and base maintenance of aircraft, repair of wheels, brakes and batteries, construction elements, structural repairs, non-destructive testing method, bore scopes, engines and other units and much more. Also, its experts conduct certified engineering courses.
Since 2011, Air Astana has served more than 100 companies, including such giants of the aviation industry, as Lufthansa, KLM, Turkish Airlines, Aeroflot, Asiana Airlines, Etihad and others.
In 2016, around 2,000 orders, and the most popular and profitable steel line maintenance services, non-destructive method of inspection and repair of the wheels has been processed.

The Airline Engineering Services Sales Department regularly takes part in such air shows, as KADEX, IATP, ATO RU, and this year for the first time, it is displaying at the exhibition called Aircraft Maintenance in Russia and CIS, which is held in Moscow, Russia, on March 2-3, 2017.
