Kazakhstan Potash Corporation Validates High-Grade Assays
Kazakhstan Potash Corporation (ASX:KPC) has validated assays from the Chelkar project, with the sylvinite potentially at some of the highest-grade potash mineralisation in the world.
This represents an opportunity for a low-cost operation in the future.
Chelkar is located 100 kilometres south east of the city of Uralsk in north-western Kazakhstan.
Drill hole 834 was drilled to 1100 metres depth and intersected multiple horizons of potash mineralisation, including 3.4 metres at 60.1% KCl from 797 metres, within a spectrum of halite-carnallitite-sylvinite evaporite sequence.
