Kazakhstan Names New Economy Minister

Kazakhstan’s President Nursultan Nazarbayev has appointed Timur Suleimenov as the country’s national economy minister, the Kazakh president’s press service said Dec. 28.

Meanwhile, under the other decree of President Nazarbayev, Kazakhstan’s National Economy Minister Kuandyk Bishimbaev has been dismissed.

Suleimenov has served as a member of the Board – Minister in charge of Economy and Financial Policy of the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC).

Suleimenov Timur Muratovich 

2000: Graduated from Pavlodar State University.    2002: Under Bolashak program, graduated from the University of Maryland with a  Master’s Degree in Business Administration.
2009: Vice-Minister of Economy and Budget Planning of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
From 2010 to 2012: Vice-Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Since February 1, 2012: Member of the Board  (Minister) in charge of Economy and Financial Policy, Eurasian Economic Commission.
