In Singapore, Kazakhstan opened new platform to attract investment and technology. It is planned that the funding of KAPTIC will take place without any involvement of the state.

In Singapore, the opening ceremony of the Kazakhstan – Asia-Pacific Trade & Investment Chamber, KAPTIC, was held, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to press service of Kazakh MFA.

Ambassador of Kazakhstan in Singapore Usen Suleimen said “the embassy spearheaded the creation of the non-profit organization as one of the measures to expand and intensify business cooperation in Business to Business format”.

In practical terms, KAPTIC activities will be aimed at attracting foreign investments and new technologies, facilitation of promotion of goods and services to members of the Chamber in the markets of Kazakhstan, the Eurasian Economic Union and the Asia-Pacific region, production and promotion of proposals to improve the business climate, removal of existing tariff and other restrictions as well as providing a wide range of consulting services.

“Financing of the Chamber is based solely on market principles, without any involvement of the state, at the expense of payments and contributions of participants, as well as the activities of the Chamber”, – stated in the message.

At the same time, co-founders and members of the Chamber are the large companies of Kazakhstan, Singapore, Malaysia, Australia and Vietnam, including “Samruk-Kazyna”, “Baiterek”, IFCA, NCE “Atameken”, EDIS (Singapore), STARIN Investments and Developments (Australia ), ITL (Vietnam). Also, the issue of membership in the Chamber is considered by companies from a number of ASEAN countries, China, Japan, Indonesia and South Korea.
