Kazakhtelecom Gets New Minority Shareholder
Kazakshtan company Alatau Capital Invest (ACI), controlled by Kazakhstan businessman Kayrat Satybaldyuly, has acquired a 3.4 percent stake in national operator Kazakhtelecom, reports Cnews.ru.
The size of the deal totaled KZT 5.8 billion. No further details were specified. A similar size stake was earlier owned by the Kazakhstan National Pension Fund.
State-owned holding company Samruk owns a 51 percent stake in the operator. Offshore companies Bodam and Dera Services took a 24.5 percernt stake at the beginning of this year.
