Kazakhstan Expects New Technology From Its Largest Investor
A meeting of the Kazakh-Dutch Business Council took place in the Hague.
The 2nd meeting of the Kazakh-Dutch Business Council was held in the Hague, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the MFA press service.
The event was attended by representatives of about 50 Dutch companies interested in cooperation with our country. The Kazakh delegation included the leadership of the Agriculture Ministry, the MID Committee on Investments, specialists of the JSC “NC “KazMunayGas”, SEC “Astana”, FEZ “Khorgos”, as well as entrepreneurs.
The Foreign Ministry stressed that the confirmation of development of business relations between the two countries is a “successful work of more than 900 joint ventures in Kazakhstan with participation of the Dutch capital not only in the mining sector, but also in the high technologies area”.
At the business forum the Dutch businesses were invited to actively develop Kazakhstani market through implementation of high-tech projects, innovation, introduction of know-how and establishment of joint productions. Also, the Kazakh side expressed interest in exchange of experience in achievement of the OECD standards, development of manufacturing sector, increasing the share of small and medium-sized businesses.
Chairman of the Investment Committee of the Ministry for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Saparbek Tuyakbaev noted favorable conditions for increasing the flow of Dutch investment capital into the economy of Kazakhstan.
The third meeting of the Business Council will be held in June 2017.
The Netherlands is the largest investor in Kazakhstan; the volume of investments into the economy of Kazakhstan is 50 billion USD.
