EBRD supports 48 MW PV plant in Kazakhstan

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) is providing $30 million in debt for construction, connection to the power transmission grid, commissioning and launch of a 48 MW solar power plant located in the Karaganda region, Kazakhstan.

Total project costs are about $73 million. The PV facility will be developed by ACME Cleantech Solutions Private Limited, a private Indian holding company responsible for energy conservation, energy management and energy generation. More details were not disclosed.

In August 2016, ACME has been provided by EBRD with $29 million in debt for construction, connection to the power transmission grid, commissioning and launch of a 29 MW »Kulan« solar power plant located in the Zhambyl region, Southern Kazakhstan.
