Baiterek Holding Built More Than 1 300 Apartments On Expo Territory
During the construction, 37000 people were provided with jobs.
Housing construction on the EXPO-2017 territory is 90% finished, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of Baiterek National Holding JSC.
The holding’s board chairman Erbolat Dosayev made progress report on the construction, according to which 42 residential homes were constructed the area of 107 000 sqm (1374 apartments). Construction and installation works are on schedule, he says.
At the time of the International specialized exhibition, the apartments will be leased to the organizers to accommodate the international exhibitors, and after the exhibition, this accommodation will be sold on market terms.
Construction of a shopping mall with recreation and other facilities the total area of 138 000 sqm is under finalization too.
External communications have been laid, exterior and interior decorations of the building and the adjacent territory’s landscaping are underway. The expected commissioning date of the residential buildings and of the mall is December 1 this year. During the construction 3.7 thousand jobs were provided. After commissioning of these objects, about 2.5 thousand people will have permanent jobs, the Baiterek’s press service added.
Construction of the business center Aura is planned too, funded by a subsidiary of the Baiterek holding -Baiterek Development. This will be a business complex with a total area of 38,086 square meters, located in the immediate vicinity of the EXPO 2017. Its commissioning is expected in 2018 Q1.
