Participants of XIII RK-RF interregional cooperation Forum visited EXPO facilities in Astana.

Russia will take an active part in the EXPO 2017 and is ready to become a co-organizer of more than 100 events of the exhibition program, the Russian President Vladimir Putin said at the XIII RK-RF interregional cooperation Forum.

The forum participants visited the EXPO facilities in Astana.

“Next year Astana is hosting EXPO-2017. We invite Russian companies to show to the international community the advanced technologies and developments at the exhibition themed “Future energy”, Nursultan Nazarbayev said.

“We have seen the tremendous work that Kazakhstani organizers accomplished. I want to assure you, Nursultan Abishevich, that Russia will take an active part in this large-scale international exhibition, and we are ready to co-organize more than 100 events of its program”, – Vladimir Putin vowed.

Today, October 4, at the Kazakh-Russian business forum, held in the frames of the XIII Forum of interregional cooperation, Kazakhstan and Russia have signed 56 bilateral agreements worth $ 3 billion. Besides, the CEO of the Astana EXPO- 2017 NC Akhmetzhan Yesimov signed cooperation memoranda with the governors of the Russian border regions.

Putin proposed to seek options for leveling the negative phenomena in bilateral trade with Kazakhstan.

Kazakhstan and Russia are to sign memorandums and cooperation agreements worth $ 27 billion, said Nursultan Nazarbayev during the meeting in Akorda.

Putin noted the presence of mutual interest in cooperation development, and transport and logistics infrastructure development, which is the forum’s theme, is extremely important in this respect, especially given that the border, inter-regional trade account for 70% of the total trade turnover.
