China Businesses Presented Their Vision Of IFCA Development In Kazakhtan
The Hong Kong business delegation visited Kazakhstan on 1-3 September 2016 at the invitation of IFCA to explore the possibilities of establishing cooperation in the financial and investment sectors and in the field of financial technology.
Delegation of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region presented a number of studies and proposals on development of financial instruments, payment systems, financial technology, and introduction of infrastructure, tools and big data services at the International Financial Centre “Astana” (IFCA), Kazpravda.kz reports citing the press service of the center.
The Hong Kong delegation, headed by business consultants of the Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP) of the United Nations, included the heads of major financial institutions, leading organizations in financial technology, law firms, as well as representatives of research institutions in these areas and mass media.
Before the presentation the IFCA manager Kairat Kelimbetov informed about strategic directions of the IFCA activity, its objectives and priorities, the planned activities on capital market development, the range of financial services, Islamic finance, financial technologies and “green” finance in the region.
It is noted that the guests provided information on efficient asset management, provision of financial services to private equity firms, multinational corporations, small and medium enterprises.
The delegation of the Hong Kong SAR also plans to hold talks and introductory meetings with the leadership of Kazakhstan Ministry of Foreign Affairs, JSC “National Holding “Baiterek”, Nazarbayev University, JSC “Kazpost”, Astana city administration, and to visit the territory of EXPO 2017.
