Costa Rica Officially Confirmed Participation In Astana EXPO 2017
Costa Rica has declared intention to participate in EXPO 2017. Thus, 98 countries and 17 international organizations have confirmed their participation, BNews.kz reported.
On August 29 in Astana within the international conference “Building a Nuclear Weapon Free World” the EXPO 2017 commissioner Rapil Zhoshybayev met Costa Rican delegation headed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Costa Rica Manuel Gonsalez Sanz. During the meeting questions of bilateral cooperation and participation of Costa Rica in EXPO 2017 have been discussed.
According to information Kazakhstan Foreign Ministry, the Foreign Minister of Costa Rica has reported that the government of the country has made the decision to participate in the Astana exhibition. According to the minister, in 2015 97% of the electric power used by Costa Rica have been developed from alternative energy sources. This indicator is the highest in the world.
In turn, R. Zhoshybayev has noted that he EXPO 2017 will become a good platform for development of cooperation in the sphere of alternative power engineering, and participation of Costa Rica in it will make the significant contribution to success of an exhibition.
