Agriculture: Kazakhstan Harvested Nearly 2 Mln Tonnes Grains
The FINANCIAL — According to the regional agricultural departments, as of August 18 Kazakh agrarians harvested grains throughout 941.6 thsd ha, or 6.2% of the planned areas, declared the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
As of the reporting date, agrarians produced 1.96 mln tonnes of grains, an increase of 462 thsd tonnes compared with the same date last year. The average yield totaled 2.08 t/ha (up 0.47 t/ha).
In particular, agrarians of Almaty oblast harvested 569 thsd tonnes of grains, West Kazakhstan oblast — 189 thsd tonnes, Jambyl oblast — 580.3 thsd tonnes, Kyzylorda oblast – 8 thsd tonnes, South Kazakhstan oblast — 419.2 thsd tonnes, East Kazakhstan oblast — 130.5 thsd tonnes, Pavlodar oblast – 26.2 thsd tonnes, Aktobe oblast – 35.3 thsd tonnes, and Karaganda oblast — 3 thsd tonnes, according to APK-Inform.
