PM, U.S. Assistant Sec of State for South and Central Asia met in Astana

Kazakhstan is interested in open and mutually beneficial partnership between the Kazakh and U.S. business circles, Kazinform cites Prime Minister Karim Massimov who has said it at a meeting with the U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Robert Blake in the Ukimet Uyi today.

As the PM’s press service informs, the parties discussed a wide range of issues regarding cooperation of Kazakhstan with the USA including expansion of economic interaction between the countries. In this view, they focused on interaction of both countries’ business circles.

The parties expressed confidence in continuation of constructive US-Kazakh cooperation.

Kazakh-US cooperation active and intensive – US Assistant Sec of State for South and Central Asian Affairs

The agenda of the cooperation of Kazakhstan and the USA is intensive, wealth and active.

US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs Robert O.Blake has announced it after the meeting with Kazakh Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs Kanat Saudabayev in Akorda on Tuesday.

According to Robert O.Blake, the sides discussed further development of the relations. “We are very optimistic about the prospects of the relations development and grateful to Kazakhstan’s leadership for our efforts support on stabilization of the situation in Afghanistan. Kazakhstan is a reliable partner in the field of the nuclear weapons nonproliferation”, the US Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian Affairs said.

Robert O.Blake informed that US President Barack Obama will be glad to welcome Head of the State Nursultan Nazarbayev at the nuclear security summit in the White House in April, 2010.
