Kazakhstan could chair EurAsEC in 2010
MINSK. Nov 27 (Interfax) – Kazakhstan is expected to take over the chairmanship of the Eurasian Economic Community (EurAsEC) next year, EurAsEC General Secretary Tair Mansurov said.
“Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko has chaired [theEurAsEC] on behalf of his country for a year. That is why we propose electing President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev as the next chairman of the EurAsEC Interstate Council,” Mansurov said at a session of the EurAsEC Interstate Council in Minsk on Friday.
