Agriculture Ministry appoints new chairman of veterinary control committeeSaktash Khasenov was appointed chairman of the committee of veterinary control and supervision under the Ministry of Agriculture.

Previously he served as head of the committee of state inspection in the agricultural sector under the Ministry of Agriculture.

According to the press service of the ministry, Saktash Khasenov was born January 12, 1960 in the village of Karakalpak, Kostanay region. He graduated from Leningrad Agricultural Institute in 1982.

In 2006 he was awarded Kurmet Order.

New appointment in East Kazakhstan region


Aibek Karimov has been appointed as akim (head) of Zyryanovsk district in East Kazakhstan region.

Prior to the appointment, Mr. Karimov has served as akim (mayor) of Semey city since January 2011.

Akim (governor) of East Kazakhstan region Danial Akhmetov who introduced the new akim of the district to staff of the regional administration stressed that ‘Aibek Karimov boasts experience experience in the agricultural and industrial sector’.

Earlier it was reported that akim of Zyryanovsk district Yermak Salimov was named as akim of Semey city.

New mayor of Semey named


Yermak Salimov, former head of Zyryanovsk district, has been named Mayor of Semey.

Head of East Kazakhstan region Daniyal Akhmetov introduced the new Mayor to the active group of the city.

According to his words, Yermak Salimov has extensive experience. He was born in 1957 in Kurchum district of East Kazakhstan region.

In 1981 he graduated from Kazakh Polytechnic Institute, in 2001 – from Kazakh State Academy of Law.

It should be noted that Mr. Salimov served as governor of Zyryanovsky area.
