Nursultan Nazarbayev to take oath as President of Kazakhstan

Today, Nursultan Nazarbayev will take the oath to people of Kazakhstan at a ceremony of inauguration.

Nursultan Nazarbayev to take oath as President of KazakhstanThe ceremony will be attended by members of both Chambers of the Parliament (Majilis and the Senate), members of the Constitutional Council, judges of the Supreme Court, members of the Government.

Recall that early presidential elections were held April 26, 2015.

The three candidates run for the presidential post included incumbent President Nursultan Nazarbayev from the Nur Otan Party, candidate from Kazakhstan’s Communist People’s Party Turgun Syzdykov, and independent candidate Abelgazi Kusainov.

On April 28 chairman of the Central Election Commission Kuandyk Turgankulov has announced the results of voting in the early elections of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

8 million 833 thousand 250 people or 97,75% have voted for Nursultan Nazarbayev .

Out of 9 547 864 registered voters 9 090 920 or 95.21% took part in the voting. 57 718 voters or 0.64% voted for Abelgazi Kussainov and 145 thousand 756 selectors or 1,61% voted in favor of Turgun Syzdykov.

Nursultan Nazarbayev sworn in as President of Kazakhstan

Today the elected President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has taken the oath of allegiance to the people of the country.

It should be noted that the President of the Republic shall take office from the moment of swearing to the people the following oath: “I solemnly swear that I will faithfully serve the people of Kazakhstan, strictly observe the Constitution and the laws of the Republic of Kazakhstan, guarantee the rights and freedoms of the citizens, honestly perform the high duties of the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan entrusted to me.”

Nursultan Nazarbayev outlines 5 external challenges hindering development of Kazakhstan

President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev has outlined five external challenges that threaten further development of Kazakhstan.

“With full responsibility I want to warn the nation – our further development is threatened by the five new external challenges,” said Nursultan Nazarbayev at the inauguration ceremony.

According to the President, the first challenge is the crisis of the world order.

The second challenge is the continued global economic turbulence including sanctions, currency and trade wars.

The third challenge is the climate change. This problem leads to unpredictable consequences and to various disasters worldwide.

The fourth challenge is that Central Asia may be affected by new global fault lines.

And the fifth challenge is the question of the international coordination which should combat these challenges. “We must respond to these challenges,” concluded N. Nazarbayev.
