Kazakhstan pavilion presented at International Tourism exhibition in Berlin

EXPO 2017 Commissioner made a presentation on tourism development in Kazakhstan.
Kazakh delegation headed by the EXPO 2017 Commissioner – First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Rapil Zhoshybayev shared in the 49th International Tourism Exhibition ITB-2015 in Berlin, Kazpravda.kz cites the Foreign Ministry reporting.
At the fifth meeting of the UNWTO Silk Road ministers, Zhoshybayev made a presentation on development of tourism in Kazakhstan, our country’s role in the implementation of the tourist potential of the Silk Road and the main provisions of the President’s Address “Nurly Jol.” He also accounted on preparations for the EXPO-2017.
Together with UNWTO Secretary-General Taleb Rifai he took part in the opening of Kazakhstan’s stand. The UNWTO Secretary General stressed the importance of EXPO- 2017 in Astana in the context of increasing the flow of tourists to Kazakhstan, development of infrastructure of the city and promised UNWTO’s support to our country in this regard. Mr. Rifai also noted the importance of the UNWTO Silk Road program, where special importance is given to Kazakhstan.
Presentation of Kazakhstan’s pavilion attracted many visitors who had the opportunity to taste the Kazakh cuisine, see the national dances, hear Kazakh music on folk instruments, and watch the process of making clothes out of felt and handmade silver jewelry.
In order to further expand cooperation with foreign partners, Kazakhstan delegation held a series of meetings, including with the head of the German Directorate of Tourism M.Weber, exhibition management and representatives of the foreign media.
Kazakhstan annually participates in the ITB, which is a good opportunity to present the country’s history, culture and nature. It also gives opportunities for building partnerships and swap of experience in tourism industry.
