Norman Foster awarded the State Prize of Peace and Progress of the First President of KazakhstanThe State Prize of Peace and Progress of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation 2014 was given to architect Norman Foster.

President Nursultan Nazarbayev signed the decree “On awarding the State Prize of Peace and Progress of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation”, reports Kazpravda.kz with reference to the press service of Akorda.

“The State Prize of Peace and Progress of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation 2014 is given to architect Norman Foster for his outstanding contribution to the development of architectural art, peace and friendship, mutual trust between peoples”, – the report says.

It is noted that persons awarded the State Prize, are given the title “Laureate of the State Prize of Peace and Progress of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan – Leader of the Nation”, the diploma, badge, certificate and money reward.

Norman Foster is the British architect. He is the author of the design and construction of the Palace of Peace and Accord and the shopping and entertainment center “Khan Shatyr” in Astana. In July 2014 the third object erected on the design of Foster in the capital of Kazakhstan- the Library of the First President was opened.
