Sec of State met group of permanent representatives to OSCE in Astana

Secretary of State-Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan Kanat Saudabayev met with a group of permanent representatives to the OSCE in Astana today.
Permanent representatives (ambassadors) of Belgium, Finland, Russia, Canada, Germany, Portugal, Slovenia and the USA participated in the meeting. They focused on Kazakhstan’s oncoming OSCE chairmanship, especially on its initiatives regarding several memorable dates: the 35th anniversary of the Helsinki Final Act, the 20th anniversary of Paris Charter for new Europe, the 65th anniversary of the Victory in the Great World War and other events in military-political, economic-ecological and humanitarians dimensions scheduled for 2010.
Kazakhstan will strictly adhere to the principles, priorities and interests of the OSCE, the Sec of State noted.
