Inflation in Kazakhstan reached 6.9% during 11 months – National Bank

Inflation in Kazakhstan reached 6.9% during 11 months - National BankAccording to official data of the Statistics Committee under the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan during the first 11 months of this year the inflation is 6.9%, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press service of the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

“In Jan-Nov 2014, inflation was 6.9% (in Jan-Nov 2013 – 4.1%). In November 2014, inflation was 0.6%, in annual terms – 7.6% (in December 2013 – 4,8%). During the past 12 months food prices went up by 7.7% (by 3.3%), non-food products – by 8.6% (3.3%), paid services – 6.6% (8.0%), ” – stated in the press release of the National Bank.

Prices for cereals grew by 12.4%, including buckwheat – by 19.6%, fruits and vegetables – by 2.5%, including cabbage – by 8.6%, potatoes – 8 2%, flour – by 0.7%, dairy products – 0.6%, fish and seafood – by 0.7%, oils and fats – by 0.5%, confectionery products – by 0.3%, tobacco products – 1.0%.

Prices of outdoor clothing rose by 0.5%, footwear – by 1.0%, household goods – by 0.2%, medicines – by 1.5%, housing and communal services – by 0.7%, central heating – by 1.9%, hot water – by 1.7%, liquefied gas – by 0.8%, housing maintenance – 0.6%.

Over the past month, prices for outpatient services increased by 0.4%, education services – 0.3%, restaurants and hotels – by 0.9%, transport services cheapened by 0.2%.
