Regular flights between Astana, Bangkok to be launched in mid-December

Kazakhstan-based airline Air Astana will launch regular flights between the Kazakh capital of Astana and Thai capital of Bangkok as of Dec. 15, the Foreign Ministry of Kazakhstan said Nov. 25.
The ministry said that Bangkok hosted a ceremony to launch the direct regular flights between the two capital cities.
“In addition to the daily flights on the route between Almaty and Bangkok, on Dec. 15 this year, the Kazakh airline will launch new route between Astana and Bangkok,” the message said.
The message said the ceremony was attended by the leadership of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand, representatives of the administration of Bangkok, and the heads of over 50 major Thai tourism companies and operators of local air ticket agencies.
