A Russian tourism portal says the Almaty ski resort Shymbulak is the most expensive on the post-soviet space.
In anticipation of the winter season, the Travel.ru portal conducted a comparative analysis of the skiing facilities on the former USSR territory to find that the most expensive ski resort is Shimbulak, in Almaty, whose daily budget is $ 94, Kazpravda.kz reports.
The skiing tracks of the Shymbulak are certified by the International Ski Federation (FIS).
The calculations of the vacation budget for one person factored in the parameters such as accommodation in 2-3 star hotels within a 15 km radius off the ski lift, cost of dinner in a cafe within walking distance of the hotel and ski pass a day.
