Draft coop program btw CIS special services and Interpol to be presented November 12

12-13 November 2014, IV regional expert consultations will be held btw CIS special services.
To improve interaction between the security services of the CIS and the International Criminal Police Organization, the Interpol drafted a document on cooperation, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the press office of the CIS Anti-Terrorist Center.
“Presentation of the joint project will be held during the IV regional expert consultations. The project aims to strengthen the capacity of law enforcement agencies – the CIS members of the Central Asia region – in the prevention and combating of terrorism, it is reported.
The agenda of the meeting also includes consideration of the organization of interaction in fighting religious radicalization and involvement of citizens in the international terrorist organizations; search of individuals on the international wanted list, who have committed crimes of terrorism and extremist and are evading criminal prosecution or execution of a court judgment on the CIS territory.
During the upcoming consultations, work will be discussed of the interim group on monitoring the situation in the Central Asian region, due to the withdrawal of the International Security Assistance forces from the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.
A panel will talk over the combating terrorism, extremism and religious radicalization in the Central Asian region.
Representatives of practical units for combating terrorism and other violent manifestations of extremism, special services and law enforcement agencies of Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will take part in the meeting.
