Citizens of Kazakhstan and Russia may stay on each other’s territory registration free

The agreement was signed in Astana on June 7, 2012.
The Senate deputies ratified the agreement between the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on the order of stay of citizens in the territory of the two countries, Kazpravda.kz reports.
The Senate profile committee concluded that the agreement aims to establish a simplified procedure of stay of citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation on the territory of the parties, without mandatory registration in the authorized bodies up to 30 days.
In case if a citizen of one side stays in the territory of the other side for more than 30 days, the citizen is obliged to register in the authorized bodies of the host side, in accordance with its law.
