American companies interested in joint projects in Kazakhstan

Kazakh Foreign Minister Yerlan Idrisov met with Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asia Richard Hoagland, Kazpravda.kz reports citing the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
The state and prospects of cooperation between Kazakhstan and the United States in political, economic and trade areas, as well as cooperation in global and regional security issues, including the situation in Afghanistan, the spread of the Ebola virus were discussed, the press service of the Foreign Ministry informed.
The two sides noted the effective work of such bilateral structures as the Commission on Strategic Partnership, Joint Commission on energy partnership and the Commission on Scientific and Technological Cooperation.
They considered economic and trade cooperation as an important part of relations between the two countries, noting the growing interest of US companies in implementing joint projects in Kazakhstan.
Following the talks, the sides agreed to further strengthen strategic partnership between Kazakhstan and the United States.
