"Kazatomprom" slightly reduced the volume of uranium productionIn Jul – Sept the uranium production volume is 3.16 thousand tons, in April – June – 3.28 thousand tons.

In the Q3 of 2014 Kazakhstan produced 5 700 tons of uranium, which corresponds to the planned targets, Kazpravda.kz reports with reference to the press-service of JSC “NAC” Kazatomprom “. In the Q2 of this year 5 600 tons of uranium was produced.

“Kazatomprom” produced 3.16 thousand tons against 3.28 thousand tons in the first half of the year. In July – September the JSC “UMP” produced 430.4 tons of beryllium products (476 tons), tantalum – 17.6 tons (65 tons).

LLP “MAEC-Kazatomprom” produced 3 140 million kWh of electricity, 578 000 Gcal of thermal energy, 102.6 million cubic meters of water, including 7.4 million cubic meters of drinking water. These figures cover the needs of the region in energy and water.

In accordance with the program for development of JSC “NAC” Kazatomprom” in the Q3 the works are underway on strategic directions of the company in conversion, enrichment and nuclear fuel production areas.

The Russian-Kazakh joint venture “Center for uranium enrichment” shipped the finished products in the amount of 2 192 119 SWU (separative work units).

In QIII, the LLP JV SARECO produced 82 tons of REM bulk concentrate. The finished products were shipped to Russia, and the shipments to Japan will start soon.

In III quarter of this year the LLP Astana Solar produced 21 993 panels (5.45 MW of energy).
