Gasoline prices will not rise until January 1, 2015 - KarabalinVice Minister of Energy Uzakbai Karabalin spoke at a briefing in the Central Communications Service.

Gasoline price in Kazakhstan will remain the same till January 1, 2015, Uzakbai Karabalin assumed.

The Vice Minister slammed the actions of unscrupulous petrol stations’ owners, warning that they will suffer losses if they continue to hold back the gasoline to later sell it at a profit.

According to Karabalin, the ministry closely monitors the situation in the petroleum market. Their primarily concern is providing agriculture with diesel fuel. Next after it is the railroad, and then the market, he added.

In 9 months Kazakhstan imported more than 280 000 tons of gasoline from China

With decreased deliveries of petroleum products from Russia, Kazakh Government takes steps to stabilize the situation in domestic market.

In January-September this year, Kazakhstan imported more than 280 000 tons of gasoline from China, Kazpravda.kz reports citing vice minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Uzakbay Karabalin.

“The situation in the market is stabilizing. In many regions, restrictions on it are removed, and an action plan was developed to stabilize domestic oil products market”, – the vice-minister said.

The ongoing upgrading of refineries, he added, should be finalized in 2016. And in 2017, domestic productions are expected to fully meet the internal market needs.

Concurrently, the government will take steps on expanding the import geography of the products, extension of tax benefits under the tolling transactions. Additional reserve of diesel fuel will be created for ҚazaқstanTemіrZholy company, also a stabilization reserve of AI-92 gasoline.
