Kazakhstani products were presented in Teheran

A trade mission of domestic producers was held in Iranian capital.
The trade mission of Kazakhstan presented in Teheran processed products of domestic producers. Representatives of 10 enterprises producing rolled steel, fittings, transformer installations, automation systems, agricultural machinery, ammonium nitrate, disposable medical products, and flour demonstrated their achievements.
During the event they held talks with potential buyers of Iran on the results of which it was agreed to supply Kazakh flour, vegetable oil, ammonium nitrate and fittings to this country, reports Kazpravda.kz.
The trade mission has become a practical extension of the visit of President of Iran Hassan Rouhani to Kazakhstan in September of this year, as well as the visit of Minister for Investment and Development of Kazakhstan Asset Issekeshev to Iran in August of this year. Within the framework of the meetings they discussed a number of specific issues of bilateral cooperation in various fields.
Today Kazakhstan supplies to Iran more than 20 headings in the amount of 540 million dollars. At the same time, according to the agency KAZNEX INVEST which organized the trade mission, there is big potential for increase of exports of Kazakh products and expansion of the range of products supplied to Iran.
Opening of the new railway Kazakhstan – Turkmenistan – Iran by the end of this year will also create broader prospects for cooperation and Kazakhstan’s access to the markets of the Gulf countries. Meanwhile the analysis of bilateral trade conducted by KAZNEX INVEST revealed 18 commodities that Kazakh producers can supply to Iranian market. Among them are metals, food, machinery, production of chemical industry, mineral products, wood and pulp, paper and textile products, building materials.
Export potential of the selected commodity items is estimated at 1.3 billion dollars. Until the end of this year KAZNEX INVEST plans to hold trade missions in Kyrgyzstan and Georgia.
