RFCA improved its positions in the international financial centers ranking

Regional Financial Centre of Almaty has improved its positions in the ranking The Global Financial Centres Index.
Almaty has significantly improved its positions in The Global Financial Centres Index (GFCI), and took 43rd position among 83 international financial centers, the press service of the National Bank of Kazakhstan informed.
In the region Eastern Europe – Central Asia Almaty is second after Istanbul. After Almaty there are Prague, Warsaw, St. Petersburg, Budapest, Moscow, Tallinn and Athens. “This is a significant achievement in the GFCI, which includes more than 25,000 responses of more than 3 thousand specialists of the investment industry. GFCI goal is to study the competitiveness of the main financial centers of the world,” – the press service of the National Bank informed.
In March 2014 Almaty was first included in the GFCI rating and took 58th position in the official list of international financial centers. The work on RFCA development is carried out by the National Bank of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
GFCI ranking is a specialized methodology for assessment of 83 international financial centers, developed by Z/Yen Group Limited, for the municipality of the City of London.
