Tony Blair to co-author a book about Kazakhstan’s Constitution

The book is titled “Kazakhstan trend: from totalitarianism to democratic and rule-of law state.”
It is coming out in celebration of the 20th anniversary of Kazakhstan Constitution. Along with it, a scientific conference will be held in Astana, for which scientists-constitutionalists, civil servants, staff members of the constitutional courts of several countries, MPs, and other foreign visitors will be invited, said a member of the RK Constitutional Council Anar Zhailganova.
“In the book ” Kazakhstan trend: from totalitarianism to democracy and the rule-of- law state “, opinions of foreign experts, politicians and lawyers will be collected on development of the Constitution in our country. Already, former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, President of the Venice Commission Gianni Buquicchio and many chairmen of Constitutional Courts of Asia and Europe have volunteered to co-author the book “, – she said.
Also, according to Zhailganova, at the headquarters of the UN, OSCE and other international organizations, special international scientific conferences are planned, and a series of activities in the regions. A competition will be held among legal scholars on the subject of the Constitution.
