Kazakhstan ranks 31st in effectiveness of public expenditures in the world

Out of 144 countries, Kazakhstan ranks 31st in terms of effectiveness of public expenditures and has a 3.8 value, according to the World Economic Forum’s Global Competitiveness Index 2013-2014, Kazinform has learnt from Kazpravda.kz.
Kyrgyzstan comes in at the 122nd place, whereas Russia is at 103rd place.
The top 10 countries that spend public funds most efficiently remain dominated by a number of European countries such as Finland, Switzerland and Sweden. It also includes Qatar, Singapore, the UAE, Oman, Saudi Arabia, and New Zealand.
According to the index, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Argentina and Venezuela spend public money least effectively.
