The vehicle “ZAZ Chance” (Ukraine) production stopped in Kazakhstan in connection with the introduction of new standards of technical regulations, which will come into force from January 2015, as well as due to the unstable situation in Ukraine, said a statement of the group of “AllurAuto” companies.
“At the end of the third quarter of 2014 the last car kit will be assembled. But spare parts for vehicles will be delivered as long as there is demand for them, or unless the situation in Ukraine becomes more difficult,” the statement said.
In connection with the situation job cuts are not planned, and experts involved in the production of ZAZ Chance cars will be moved to SsangYong and Peugeot production sites.
“The plant AgromashHolding adjusted production plans, which will be reduce to a minimum of the costs associated with the reduction of ZAZ Chance car production. Thus, in the near future the company intends to increase the production of SsangYong and Peugeot cars. This year enterprise AgromashHolding JSC produced 125 ZAZ Chance cars and some 1,976 units were produced in 2013,” the statement said.
