New Vice-Minister of Finance appointed

New Vice-Minister of Finance appointedIt is Ruslan Beketayev, who was previously chairman of the Treasury Committee under Finance Ministry.

In Kazakhstan, a new Vice Minister of Finance was appointed, the Finance Ministry’s press service informs.

He replaces in this position Berik Sholpankulov, who is appointed to another post.

Ruslan Beketayev born November 16, 1975, graduated from the Kazakh State Agrarian University (qualification of economist-accountant), went to Bristol University (Master of Economics, Finance and Management), University of Oxford, Said School of Business  (Diploma in Financial Strategy).

In different years, he was in the position of head of the inspection department of the financial supervision with the RK National Bank, led the banks supervision department of the Financial Supervision Agency. From 2005 to 2011 he worked for the Agency for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption, in 2011 – advisor to board chairman of the “KazakhHumanitarianLawUniversity,” from 2011 to 2012 – deputy chairman of the Financial Monitoring Committee with the Finance Ministry. In April 2012 he was appointed chairman of the Treasury Committee under Finance Ministry.

Kazakh President appoints Foreign Ministry’s executive secretary


Head of State decreed to appoint Anarbek Karashev as executive secretary of the Kazakh Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Akorda press service said.

Born in 1965, Karashev, previously acted as Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Kazakhstan to the Czech Republic with concurrent accreditation to the Slovak Republic.
