Eurasian integration conforms to long-term interests of Kazakhstan – Turan University Rector Alshanov

Economic integration will provide long-term improvement of the investment climate and business environment, this has been announced today by “Turan” University rector-academician Rahman Alshanov at the meeting themed “Topical issues of Eurasian integration”.
According to him, the Eurasian union will improve the overall investment climate in Kazakhstan, Russia and Belarus. Economic integration will provide more comfortable environment for business development, increase the volume of industrial production and create new work places.
R. Alshanov stressed that the city of Almaty is a striking example of the efficiency of the Customs Union and the Common Economic Space. “It is noteworthy that the city’s foreign trade turnover with the CU countries in 2013 amounted to USD 8.6 billion, while in 2012 the figure was USD 7.5 billion”, he said.
Head of the University noted that Kazakhstan is ready to create a competitive economy. Eurasian integration will strengthen the national economy and help to increase the political weight of our country on the world stage.
