Kazakhstan harvested grains throughout 75% of sowing areas

Kazakhstan harvested 15.8 mln tonnes of grains throughout 75% of the sowing areas, declared Arman Evniev, the Vice-Minister of Agriculture of the country, on September 24. According to A.Evniev, the harvesting campaign continues.
According to forecasts of the Ministry, the current grain harvest in Kazakhstan will exceed the previous year level by 15-20%, and total 17-17.3 mln tonnes in clean weight.
As a reminder, according to data of the Agency of Statistics of the Republic of Kazakhstan, in 2008, the grain harvest totaled nearly 15.6 mln tonnes in clean weight, the export potential – nearly 6 mln tonnes.
