X Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia proved its relevance and effectiveness – Kazakh Ambassador

Kazakh Ambassador to Russia Galim Orazbakov at a press conference in Moscow for representatives of leading Russian and foreign media said about the key outcomes of the jubilee X Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Russia and Kazakhstan, which was held November 10-11 in Yekaterinburg.
The head of the diplomatic mission shared his assessments of development of bilateral interstate relations between Kazakhstan and Russia, and answered questions from Russian and foreign experts and journalists.
According to the head of the diplomatic mission, X Interregional Forum once again proved to be an acute demand for a reliable and effective in the development of bilateral relations.
According to him, the current conditions in the framework of the Customs Union and the Eurasian Economic Community being formed are creating enormous opportunities for development of export-oriented production, co-operation in international markets and increase the competitiveness of the economies of three countries.
Speaking about the development of the integration potential, the ambassador stressed the importance of the landmarks made by President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev in expansion of domestic production, “In the end the products produced by the joint efforts of our three countries must be supplied to the world markets”.
No wonder one of the main areas at the Forum was an exhibition devoted to industrial cooperation between the two countries. At it, in particular, were presented the possibilities of 10 regions of Kazakhstan. In turn, the special interest of national experts was on the stands of Russian companies “Russian Copper Company” and “Eurochem” investing in the economy of Kazakhstan. In total, the exhibition was attended by about 45 and 80 Kazakh Russian companies.
G.Orazbakov said that in general at the forum there were endorsed about 20 agreements and memorandums . Agreement has been reached on joint exploration and development of gas condensate field called “Imashevskoye” on the Caspian Sea, and to work together to localize the steppe and forest fires in the border area.
“The main document of the forum was the agreement signed by the presidents of Kazakhstan and Russia on good-neighborliness and alliance in the twentieth century”, said G.Orazbakov.
The novelty of this forum was the organization at its base of the Youth Forum on “Leadership and Innovation in the XXI century: a view into the future”. “There has been an exchange of views among the youth of our two countries, we listened to their evaluation on the prospects of integration between Kazakhstan and Russia. The participants discussed the scientific, educational and youth cooperation and innovation policy “, said the ambassador.
G.Orazbakov noted that one of the main points of his visit to Yekaterinburg was the opening ceremony of the board “Honorary graduates of Kazakhstan” in the Ural Federal University named after the First President of Russia Boris Yeltsin (UFU).
He said that currently 300 students from Kazakhstan are getting educated in this institution. This year alone 155 people came here to study.
